Plagiarism Screening

Sholihan: Journal of Islamic Religious Education (SJIRE) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all manuscripts submitted for publication. All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and similarity using Turnitin before proceeding to the peer-review process.

The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%. Manuscripts with a Turnitin similarity score above 20% will be returned to the authors for revision and resubmission. Manuscripts that remain above the permitted threshold after revision may be rejected by the editorial team.

The similarity score is evaluated carefully by the editors because a similarity percentage does not automatically indicate plagiarism. Properly cited quotations, references, standard academic terminology, and commonly used expressions may contribute to the similarity score but are not necessarily considered plagiarism.

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts and for properly citing all sources used. Sholihan: Journal of Islamic Religious Education (SJIRE) does not tolerate plagiarism, duplicate publication, self-plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or other forms of academic misconduct.
