Primary Areas of Focus
To maintain a clear and consistent disciplinary identity, Eduistiqomah in Law (EIL) places particular emphasis on two principal areas:
1. Islamic Family Law (Hukum Keluarga Islam)
including marriage, divorce, inheritance, wills, guardianship, child protection, family disputes, religious courts, and contemporary developments in family law.
2. Islamic Economic Law (Hukum Ekonomi Syariah)
including Islamic commercial transactions, contracts, Islamic banking, Islamic finance, Islamic business, halal industry, fintech, digital transactions, sharia compliance, and dispute resolution.
These two areas constitute the core focus of EIL. Other legal topics are considered within the journal's scope when they have a clear and substantive relationship with Islamic law, Islamic family law, Islamic economic law, legal institutions, or contemporary legal development.
Scope Boundary
EIL maintains a clear focus on legal scholarship. Manuscripts must place law at the center of their analysis and demonstrate a clear contribution to legal theory, legal doctrine, legal policy, legal institutions, legal practice, or the development of Islamic law.
Studies involving economics, business, finance, sociology, technology, religion, or other related disciplines are considered only when they contain a substantial legal analysis and are directly connected to Islamic family law, Islamic economic law, Islamic legal studies, or related legal institutions.
Manuscripts that focus exclusively on general economics, business administration, management, finance, sociology, religious studies, political science, or technology without a substantive legal dimension are outside the scope of EIL.
The central research problem of every manuscript should therefore contribute to understanding, developing, evaluating, or applying law, particularly within the fields of Islamic Family Law and Islamic Economic Law.
