Retraction and Correction

Eduistiqomah in Management (EIM) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. The journal will take appropriate action when significant errors, ethical concerns, or research misconduct are identified in a published article.

Correction

A Correction may be issued when a published article contains an error that affects the accuracy or clarity of the article but does not invalidate its main findings, conclusions, or scholarly contribution.

Corrections may address, for example:

  • Author names or affiliations.
  • Funding information.
  • Minor errors in text, tables, or figures.
  • Metadata or bibliographic information.
  • Other factual or editorial errors that require clarification.

The correction will be linked to the original article and clearly identified as a correction. The original article will normally remain available to preserve the integrity of the publication record.

Retraction

A Retraction may be issued when an article is found to contain serious problems that invalidate its findings or when there is substantial evidence of academic or publication misconduct.

Reasons for retraction may include:

  • Fabrication or falsification of data.
  • Significant plagiarism.
  • Duplicate or redundant publication.
  • Serious methodological errors that invalidate the conclusions.
  • Manipulation of research findings.
  • Unethical research practices.
  • Serious authorship or publication-ethics violations.
  • Other circumstances that substantially undermine the reliability of the published work.

A retracted article will remain part of the journal's scholarly record but will be clearly identified as retracted. A formal retraction notice explaining the reason for retraction will be published and linked to the original article.

Editorial Procedure

When a potential error or ethical concern is identified, the editorial team may:

  1. Assess the nature and significance of the concern.
  2. Contact the authors for clarification where appropriate.
  3. Consult reviewers, editors, institutions, or other relevant parties when necessary.
  4. Determine whether a correction, retraction, or other editorial action is appropriate.
  5. Publish the relevant notice and maintain a transparent record of the decision.

Corrections and retractions may be initiated by the authors, editors, reviewers, readers, or other parties who provide credible evidence of a significant problem.

Eduistiqomah in Management (EIM) reserves the right to correct, retract, or otherwise amend the publication record when necessary to protect the integrity of the scholarly literature.
