- Allegations of plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct
- Fabrication and falsification of research data or results
- Duplicate and redundant publication

- Conflicts of interest
- Peer-review misconduct and manipulation
- Ethical concerns involving research participants
- Citation manipulation

Possible actions include manuscript rejection, correction, expression of concern, retraction, notification of relevant institutions, or other appropriate measures, depending on the nature and severity of the case.
All investigations will be conducted fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with applicable ethical principles and due process.
Responsibilities of All Publication Participants
All participants in the publication process are expected to uphold the principles of honesty, transparency, fairness, confidentiality, accountability, and respect for research integrity.
Authors
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, accurately reported, appropriately cited, ethically conducted, and free from fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and duplicate publication. Authors are also responsible for disclosing conflicts of interest, funding information, ethical approval where applicable, and substantive use of artificial intelligence or generative AI tools.
Editors
Editors must make editorial decisions based on academic merit, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and ethical compliance. Editors must maintain confidentiality, manage conflicts of interest, ensure appropriate peer review, and investigate credible allegations of misconduct.
Reviewers
Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, confidential, and evidence-based assessments. Reviewers must disclose conflicts of interest, protect unpublished information, and report suspected ethical or publication concerns to the editor.
Publisher
CV. Gerasi Insan Nusantara, as the publisher of EIME, supports editorial independence and is committed to maintaining transparent publication policies, reliable publishing infrastructure, preservation of scholarly content, and appropriate correction or retraction procedures.
Handling Research and Publication Misconduct
EIME follows a transparent and proportionate approach when handling suspected misconduct. Depending on the circumstances, the journal may:
- Request an explanation or additional evidence from the authors.
- Consult editors, reviewers, or independent experts.
- Request clarification from the authors' affiliated institution.
- Conduct an editorial investigation.
- Reject the manuscript.
- Publish a correction.
- Publish an expression of concern.
- Retract a published article.
- Take other appropriate action to safeguard the integrity of the scholarly record.
The journal will apply relevant COPE guidance when determining the appropriate course of action.
Corrections, Retractions, and Post-Publication Issues
EIME is committed to maintaining an accurate and trustworthy scholarly record. Errors or ethical concerns identified after publication will be evaluated carefully.
A correction may be issued when an error affects the article but does not invalidate its principal findings. A retraction may be issued when findings are unreliable or when serious ethical or publication misconduct substantially compromises the integrity of the article. An expression of concern may be published when there are substantial unresolved concerns about a published article and further investigation is required.
All post-publication actions will be clearly identified and, where possible, linked to the original publication.
