Librarian

Eduistiqomah in Language Education (EILE) is supported by a librarian role responsible for assisting the journal in managing scholarly information resources, metadata quality, digital accessibility, and the discoverability of published articles.

Librarian Responsibilities

The Librarian is responsible for:

  1. Supporting the management and organization of the journal's scholarly information resources.
  2. Assisting with the accuracy and consistency of article metadata.
  3. Supporting the management of bibliographic information, references, and citation metadata.
  4. Assisting authors and editors with reference-management and scholarly information resources.
  5. Supporting the discoverability of published articles through academic search engines and indexing services.
  6. Assisting with DOI, metadata, and digital repository-related information when applicable.
  7. Supporting long-term access and digital preservation of published journal content.
  8. Promoting the visibility and accessibility of EILE publications through appropriate academic information channels.
  9. Assisting the editorial team in maintaining standardized bibliographic and citation information.
  10. Supporting the continuous improvement of the journal's digital information infrastructure.

Library and Information Support

The Librarian works collaboratively with the editorial team to ensure that published content is properly organized, discoverable, accessible, and preserved. Particular attention is given to metadata accuracy, citation information, author identification, indexing visibility, and digital accessibility.

The Librarian may also provide guidance regarding the use of scholarly databases, reference-management tools, academic search engines, institutional repositories, and other information resources relevant to language education research.

Digital Preservation

EILE is committed to preserving its published scholarly content and maintaining reliable access to journal articles. The Librarian supports appropriate digital archiving and preservation practices in accordance with the journal's technical capabilities and applicable scholarly publishing standards.

Current Indexing Support

The Librarian also supports the journal's visibility and discoverability through its current academic indexing and discovery platform, including:

  • Google Scholar

As the journal develops, the Librarian may assist the editorial team in preparing metadata and documentation required for applications to additional reputable indexing and abstracting services.
