Abstract

This study examines the role of organizational culture in shaping institutional performance within Islamic educational institutions, with attention to internalization of Islamic values and their translation into practice. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis involving leaders, teachers, and administrative staff selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification, while credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability were used to establish data trustworthiness. The findings indicate that organizational culture functions as an institutional mechanism connecting shared values, Islamic ethical principles, organizational behavior, and institutional performance. Values such as amanah, adl, shura, ta'awun, and ihsan were reflected in leadership practices, professional responsibility, communication, collaboration, accountability, and service orientation. A strong alignment between institutional values and everyday practices strengthened organizational effectiveness, service quality, productivity, innovation, and institutional achievement. The study identifies leadership modeling, cultural socialization, collaborative behavior, and continuous improvement as key mechanisms for sustaining cultural development. Theoretically, the study contributes to organizational culture scholarship by contextualizing culture-performance relationships within Islamic educational institutions. Practically, the findings suggest that educational leaders should integrate Islamic values into organizational systems, professional practices, cultural socialization, and performance improvement strategies. The study provides a basis for strengthening institutional effectiveness while preserving Islamic identity and ethical commitments.
